Cheerio, mateys!
Missed the sign-ups for sledding last night? ÊNever fear, there's good news from co-captain-of-the-adventure Drew, so hold on to your hats and scarves!
Brave CANOErs, the time has come. ÊThe time you've waited for for years, maybe since you were born, without even knowing it. ÊEvery decision you've ever made--buying those neon velcro high tops in 3rd grade, deciding you were 'over' just buttered noodles and wanted pasta with sauce, memorizing the periodic table, coming to Carleton, and yes, putting on that plaid cardigan this morning that you thought you hated but realized actually looks good in a cozy-frumpy sort of way, ALL OF THESE DECISIONS HAVE LED YOU TO THIS NEXT TURNING OF THE PATH. ÊYou could sleep late on Sunday morning, like you always do, or...
YOU COULD COME HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE SNOW-TUBING AT BUCK HILL!!!
While I can't guarantee it'll be the time of your life, I can guarantee that it won't be for the lack of an excellent opportunity to have said time of your life. ÊIt will at least make your weekend, and DEFINITELY get this term started out on the right foot. ÊWe're leaving at 9AM SUNDAY MORNING and it'll be $15 and NO CROWDS. ÊEmail chamberd or come find us in Sayles at common time on THURSDAY! ÊYou won't regret it.
Here's to the snow that's gently falling outside the windows as I type this,

Winter 2010 Trip List
CANOE strives to have a trip go out every weekend with signups for that weekend's trip usualy being held the Tuesday of that week. If you are interested in any of the trips for this term, don't hesitate to email the leaders to find out the exact specifics for signing up or any other information you seek.
Really want to do something special? No trip on your favorite weekend? Lead a trip! Check out the leader packet for a step by step guide or email the board for some trip ideas or with any questions.
There are many exciting CANOE events coming up. Check out our calendar for signup times! (or add it to iCal.) Hopefully it will be updated.
- Be ready: Keep an eye on your email, because these are all weather dependent and possibly spur of the moment: Polar Plunge, Snowball fight AGAINST OLAF, igloo building.
- Weekend 1: Tubing with Chris (burkec) and Drew (chamberd) at Buck Hill.
