Every even week CANOE meets to talk about what trips are being planned for the term, outdoor events that are happening around Carleton, occasionaly play some games, and generaly have a good time.
No prerequisites here, just come on over and meet everyone!

Hey Folks,
The sun is coming out this weekend and we are on our way to greet it at one of the most beautiful places in southern MN. Grab your bike {or email me (Blake) about borrowing one}, a sharable portion of food {if you have the time} and lets bike off into the distance on the backroads for a magical (yet brief) afternoon cycling over the rolling minnesota hills to a truly gorgeous hill overlooking Nerstrand Big Woods state park between the Valley Grove churches from the 1800's. If you do not consider yourself sufficiently cultured in the rich past and beauty of our great state this would be the perfect opportunity to rectify that. If you need further convincing I can assure you that the knowledge you gain from this trip will give you a great spot to take your future or current special someone. No sign ups, just email me if you think you might come and meet in front of Sayles on Saturday at 11 AM
Leisurely (dare I say classy) bicycle picnic (8 miles one way)

Fall 2009 Trip List
CANOE strives to have a trip go out every weekend with signups for that weekend's trip usualy being held the Tuesday of that week. If you are interested in any of the trips for this term, don't hesitate to email the leaders to find out the exact specifics for signing up or any other information you seek.
Really want to do something special? No trip on your favorite weekend? Lead a trip! Check out the leader packet for a step by step guide or email the board for some trip ideas or with any questions.

Annie and Jessie are leading a day trip up to Afton State park. They'll leave in the morning (around 9:00), galumph around the park for a while, see cool stuff, do cooler things, and then be back in time for Haloween stuff in the evening. Due to the special occasion, this hike will be costume mandatory (or at least really strongly encouraged). Sign-up by emailing Jessie (rothmanj) asap!

Help clean and inventory gear, donate old gear, organize scattered resources, plan trips... the list goes on. Your help runs this thing; every tiny little bit helps. Email a gear manager (foleyn, crumps) about helping with / donating stuff, or Allison (pfeiffea) about other things.
