The Experimental Theater Board (ETB) is Carleton's non-musical, non-departmental student theater resource. ETB coordinates and funds broadly-themed theatrical productions, with Carleton students participating in every artistic and technical capacity. ETB's elected board of officers controls use of Carleton's 100-seat black box proscenium venue, Nourse Little Theater.

Students at Carleton are encouraged to participate in ETB productions (regardless of prior experience) by attending twice-termly meetings and barbecues, auditioning for on-stage roles, volunteering for technical design, writing scripts for the Spring one-acts, or submitting applications to direct any show, whether full-length or one-act.

Aside from full-length works, which number on average between three and five per term, ETB's annual calendar includes:

• Hit 'n' Run: An Evening of One-Acts (Fall)
• Winter One-Acts (Fall)

• Student Written One-Acts (Spring)
• The 24-Hour Show (Spring)

Every ETB show is free to the public, though reservations are recommended.
