International Relations Council

The Carleton College International Relations Council seeks to initiate and encourage awareness of pertinent issues that involve the relations within and between the states, nations, societies, ethnicities, religions, cultures, and ideologies that coexist in our often fragile global system. The IRC aims - through discussion, debate, and interactive education programs - to enhance the level of practical knowledge, experience, and sensitivity that Carleton students can apply to present and future endeavors, both foreign and domestic. Ultimately, the IRC seeks to encourage students to interact with and rely upon each other in an inviting environment in order to develop the personal erudition and skills needed to promulgate positive change in the international arena of our future.
