Student Musical Theatre is a student-run organization dedicated to staging high quality musical theatre productions. Our plays are student directed, choreographed, conducted; we rehearse singers, build sets, etc. We produce two musicals a year, usually a smaller musical in the fall and a larger production in the spring. The organization combines the talents of students from the Music, Dance, Theatre, and Visual Arts departments, as well as from other extracurricular activities in these areas. SMT productions take place in the Nourse and Arena Theaters on the Carleton campus. We encourage all Carleton students interested in musical theater to get involved. Visit the theater table at the Activities Fair in the fall or get in touch with one of the officers for more information.
