Liz Keyes '94

Solos: Walking on Sunshine, Prince of Darkness (with the lovely Mariana "She's from Atlanta, she can channel the Indigo Girls" Garrettson).

Arrangements: Many. Proudest of figuring out Oh-Bla-Di without a piano while sitting at a desk at a boring summer job after sophomore year.

Life since Carleton: I spent the first few years trying to figure out how exactly to break into doing international development work, finally figured it out, got a little disillusioned and went to law school. Now I'm going to be kicking som exploitative ass as a lawyer for low-income immigrant workers. I got married in 2001 and live in the people's republic of Takoma Park, Maryland, with my husband Nicholas, two cats and whatever wildlife they bring in as gifts for us. Our house has a historic marker noting the spot where Julia Day '94 broke a light in our ceiling.

Most embarrassing Accidentals moment: Racing out of rehearsal (probably to go to another rehearsal for something) and forgetting that the door of the Green Room was latched shut and the door wouldn't, um, swing open as planned. I'd like to say I've gotten more graceful over the years, but that would be a lie. A big one.

Homepage: Hmmm. Not cool enough to have a really good one, but I did throw some wedding photos up at www.geocities.com/nickandlizgetmarried/photos.html. The background is not fake, as some have charged.

What I miss most about the Accidentals: I miss having all those talented and fearless women in one place, instead of scattered to the four corners of the world. That, and running all the performance spaces on campus life they were our own personal fiefdom!
