Construction Schedule
Ø Spring '01 - Fall '03: 11th Ave. to 26th St., yard & shops; 26th St. to Minnehaha Park.
Ø Spring '02 - Winter '03: Nicollet Mall to 11th Ave.
Ø Spring '02 - Fall '03: Minnehaha Park to Fort Snelling
Ø Spring '02 - Fall '04: Humphrey Terminal to Mall of America.
Ø Spring '03 - Fall '04: Warehouse District/Hennepin Ave. to Nicollet Mall.


Ø Light Rail Vehicles: 26 cars, each 94-feet long and articulated with 66 seats. Each car can carry 187 passengers. Equipped with luggage racks and bicycle storage hangers.
Ø Accessibility: Fully ADA compliant. Low-floor vehicles don't require stairs. Wheelchair access at each doorway.
Ø Power: Electrically powered from overhead lines.
Ø Top Speed: 55 miles per hour.
Ø Fare Price: Parallel to bus fares.
