Prospective Students

Hey, prospective students! We'd love to hear from you. I know what some of you are probably thinking: Will I be able to keep my faith at a school like Carleton? Are there Christians there? Is everyone there an atheist? These are great questions and ones that we also faced when we were trying to decide where to school.

Guess what! Carleton is an awesome experience for Christians, and a great place to challenge and grow your faith. I must admit, sometimes it is difficult to be a Christian, here in this land of academic agnosticism, but fortunately there is a very strong and very supportive Christian Community that you could plug into! In fact, it makes living a Christian life not only possible, but even easy, just look at all the groups and programs we have, nearly all totally student run.

If you're visiting campus and are interested in the Carleton Christian Community, be sure to check out what's happening while you're here. Here are just a few examples of things that happen every week!

MustardSeed - A student run worship band that meets every Monday night from 9-10pm in the Cave (basement of Evans Residence Hall). If you're here on a Monday, be sure to stop by for a time of fellowship with the Christian Community and worship.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes - FCA meets in Sayles-Hill Student Center to offer support for Carleton student-athletes through fellowship, prayer, Bible study, outreach, and being each other's biggest fans.

Dance Like David and Freshman Fondue Fridays - These are all Bible studies that meet weekly with different people and in different places. See the Groups page for the time each meets and feel free to stop by!

Even if you won't be able to make it to campus, get in touch with us if you have any questions (or even if you don't - we love to hear from prospective students).

Contact our panel: Max, Abby, and Jon (diddamsm@carleton.edu), and they'll be glad to help you out. And we're looking forward to seeing you next year!
