Report on CUT 6, March 6, 2004


The sixth annual Carleton Undergraduate Tournament was played March 6, with 27 teams competing. The format used was to seed teams into three divisions (the Silurian, Devonian, and Carboniferous) of nine teams each for preliminary round robins which sorted teams into three flights (Gold, Silver, and Bronze) for secondary round robins -- the top three from each initial division going to the Gold, middle three to the Silver, and bottom three to the Bronze. Won-loss records from the initial round robins did not carry over in determining final rankings within the three flights, and ties were permitted to stand as such, except that an extra game was played to break a tie for third place, in order to award the final trophy. Results were as follows:
