Getting Hosted
For the budget concious student, we can place you with a Carleton or St. Olaf student for Friday and/or Saturday night. Most of our students live in dorms or college-owned houses, so be prepared to bring a sleeping bag, towel, and toiletries, as you will most likely be sleeping on the floor or a couch/futon and using a shared bathroom.
If you would like to be hosted by a student, please indicate this on your Registration Form. We will then ask you to fill out a Housing Request form indicating your preferences. Once you are placed, we strongly suggest you get in touch with your host as soon as possible to coordinate meeting times or any special housing needs.
Please note that your hosts are there to provide you a place to sleep and clean up. However, they are not responsible for feeding, transporting, or entertaining you, unless they so desire. They will be happy to help you navigate the campus or find a place to eat, though they might not be able to personally accompany you.
If you are not a student, there are also a variety of hotels and motels in Northfield.
Below are listings of area lodgings and restaurants.

Being a Host
Carls and Oles, we need you guys to help us host! This will be a fun and easy way to meet new people. If you would like to host students on Friday and or Saturday, please contact the Housing Coordinator from your school: Marina (Carleton) or Charlie (St. Olaf). They will then ask you to fill out a Hosting Form.
As a host, your main responsibility will be to provide a place for your guest(s) to sleep. Once a person is placed with you, we strongly suggest you get in touch with them as soon as possible to coordinate meeting times or any special housing needs. Guests should bring their own sleeping bag and toiletries.
You are not responsible for feeding or driving your guest around, unless you would like to. Just make them feel welcome and help get them directions to wherever they need to go.
