Human Rights Campaign: Take Action
The HRC is the country's largest LGBT advocacy group. Their site has prewritten letters that you can send to your representatives just by typing in your address. It also has a great email list that can keep you updated on current affairs.

HRC Campaign 2004
This link gives information on what you can do with regards to gay rights and the 2004 elections.

Million for Marriage
Run by the HRC, the Million for Marriage campaign is working toward the goal of one million signatures by Election Day 2004.

OutFront Minnesota's Action Center
OutFront Minnesota is an important state LGBT advocacy group. They organize a wide variety of programs and services, including the annual GLBT Lobby Day at the State Capitol. Their Action Center provides useful updates on current advocacy efforts and  opportunities.

Carleton College's Gender and Sexuality Center offers resources and support for women's, men's and LGBT issues. The email list is an essential source of information on campus doings. The site also has a comprehensive list of resources for LGBT students at Carleton.

Basic Rights Oregon
Since 1988 BRO has been working to end discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in Oregon. Currently they are working to keep the marriages of same-sex couples in Multnomah County going.

GLAD
Founded in 1978, Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) is New England’s leading legal rights organization dedicated to ending discrimination based on sexual orientation, HIV status and gender identity and expression.  Providing litigation, advocacy, and educational work in all areas of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender civil rights and the rights of people living with HIV, GLAD has a full-time legal staff and a network of cooperating attorneys across New England.

MassEquality.org
MassEquality.org is a coalition of local and national groups dedicated to ensuring that the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court decision on marriage equality is upheld, and that any anti-gay amendment or legislation is defeated.

American Civil Liberties Union Gay & Lesbian Rights Project
Founded in 1986, the Lesbian & Gay Rights and AIDS Projects are a special division of the American Civil Liberties Union. The Projects' staff are experts in constitutional law and civil rights, specializing in sexual orientation, gender identity, and HIV.

Amnesty International: Outfront

OUTfront, Amnesty International USA's Program on Human Rights and Sexual Identity, is part of an international network of Amnesty activists to protect the dignity and rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network
This national organization of gay and straight teachers and community members works to see that respect for all is taught in America's classrooms.


Immigration Equality
A coalition of immigrants, attorneys and other activists, this group addresses the widespread impact of discriminatory immigration laws on the lives of those in the gay, lesbian, bisexual & transgender community and immigrants who are living with HIV/AIDS.

LLEGÓ

LLEGÓ, the National Latina/o LGBT Organization, is the only national nonprofit organization devoted to representing Latina/o LGBT communities and addressing their growing needs regarding an array of social issues ranging from civil rights and social justice to health and human services.

Log Cabin Republicans
The Log Cabin Republicans are the nation's leading voice for fairness, inclusion, and tolerance with regards to sexual orientation in the GOP.

National Black Justice Coalition
This newly established group of black LGBT leaders is fighting to stop the conservative efforts to divide the African American community on the subject of gay rights. Currently their major project is fighting the Federal Marriage Amendment.

National Stonewall Democrats
With more than 70 local chapters, National Stonewall Democrats is America’s only grassroots Democratic lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender organization.
