About Carleton Nordic Skiing

Carleton Nordic Skiing Club is primarily a team of people who enjoy cross country
skiing and racing at a competitive level. We train in the Fall and Winter (Spring training is for baseball).
There is no full-time coach but those of us with more experience racing in high school help fulfill that
role. To be a part of the club you do not need any prior experience but you will need
your own equipment. Our skiers can compete on whatever level they are comfortable with, but
we do require a certain amount of committment because of our limited budget for travel, wax
and race entry fees.

In addition to seeking to improve our own technique and ability through training and
racing, we aim to broaden interest and awareness of nordic skiing at Carleton. The club
wishes to help those who've never skied before become interested and able to enjoy themselves
skiing. We do this by holding free workshops, a fun ski race, and inviting anyone interested
to join us and start skiing!
